"Puño de Diamantes", written by the Mexican band Duelo for its 2013 album "Libre Por Naturaleza", is one of those Spanish-language classics in which a lingering accompaniment carries a romantic voice. When Colombian pop singers Dennis Fernando and Anderson Ariza released their own version - performed with the Relacart UR-2Q quad-channel 130 MHz true diversity wireless microphone system - the recording drew hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube.

Compared with the original, the two singers kept the arrangement deliberately simple, putting the voice - its timbre, dynamics and emotional shading - at the very front of the mix. That choice raises the bar for the microphone chain as much as for the performers: with no dense instrumentation to mask flaws, every link of the wireless chain, from RF stability to audio resolution, is exposed directly to the listener.

The UR-2Q condenses years of Relacart engineering into a single rack unit: four channels of synthesized true diversity tuning with a 130 MHz switching bandwidth (region dependent) across a 470-960 MHz range, 96 kHz / 24-bit audio processed by the self-developed DSP expansion algorithm, and Dante protocol output for digital distribution. A composite S/N above 105 dB, THD below 0.7% at 1 kHz and a frequency response of 80 Hz - 18 kHz keep the reproduced voice honest, while the EIA standard 1U chassis and an operating range of around 80 meters in open space fit the realities of stage work.

On stage the singers relied on the UH-2 wireless handheld microphone - a cardioid capsule on a 134 MHz-wide FM transmitter with switchable 10/30 mW RF output - paired where needed with the UT-2 wireless bodypack, whose 4-pin mini-XLR input with three-level adjustable gain accepts a lavalier microphone. Both transmitters run for about ten hours on two AA cells, enough for the longest set without a battery change, and their 470-960 MHz tuning ranges let the whole system share one coherent frequency plan.

The collaboration delivered exactly what the two artists were aiming for: a version of "Puño de Diamantes" carried by two voices alone, reproduced with clarity and warmth both in the room and on the recording that audiences have watched in their hundreds of thousands. For Relacart - 32 years into building professional wireless audio - the project is another example of the UR-2Q platform serving demanding vocal performances, from conference halls to concert stages.
