As one of the leading enterprises of China's automotive industry, SAIC Motor holds frequent decision-making meetings, cross-departmental coordination sessions and technical training. For its multifunction report hall, meeting rooms and training rooms, the group required a wireless audio system with outstanding stability, clarity and ease of use.
Project Background
Nearly two decades ago, SAIC Motor deployed a Relacart RE-5000 microphone system, which had served reliably ever since. As the equipment aged and radio-frequency regulations evolved, SAIC Motor chose to renew its trust in Relacart and carry out a full system upgrade.
Project Requirements
- Report hall. Used for major events such as business ceremonies, celebrations, performances and banquets, it demands wide coverage, high clarity and stable multi-microphone operation without frequency interference, so that every speaker is picked up and transmitted clearly.
- Meeting rooms. Daily meetings call for clear pickup and simple operation; as the rooms are usually run by non-technical staff, the system needs automated management, and it must stay stable through long sessions without interruption.
- Training rooms. The trainer's voice must cover the whole room evenly, with high cost-effectiveness, low power consumption and dependable stability.
Solution
Relacart engineers designed a tailored solution for each space.
Report hall — UR-2Q. The hall is equipped with the Relacart UR-2Q quad-channel true diversity digital wireless microphone system, featuring advanced four-channel synthesized tuning technology and a 130 MHz switching bandwidth for stable transmission at major events. The MagicEQ function can be freely adjusted to deliver the most suitable sound for each occasion, and the antenna cascade interface allows multiple systems to share one pair of antennas; when three or more systems run simultaneously, an antenna distributor is still recommended to avoid signal loss.
Meeting rooms — WAM-432. The WAM-432 intelligent true diversity wireless mixer automatically sets a noise gate for each channel and enables automatic microphone mixing, delivering a voice-activated speaking experience with intelligent microphone management and effective blocking of ambient noise.
Training rooms — UR-222D. The UR-222D dual-channel diversity wireless microphone system combines advanced technology, refined design, stable performance and an attractive price, ensuring high-fidelity audio transmission with excellent cost-effectiveness.
Flexible pickup units. UD-222 desktop wireless conference microphones and UH-222 wireless handheld microphones are compatible with both the WAM-432 in the meeting rooms and the UR-222D in the training rooms, so transmitters can be redeployed between rooms as needed.
Project Results
Since the new system went live, meeting audio quality at SAIC Motor has improved markedly. In clarity, automatic noise suppression effectively removes environmental interference and greatly improves speech intelligibility. In stability, the ultra-wide band and true diversity technology ensure reliable signal transmission and solve the frequent dropouts of the old system. In usability, automated operation requires minimal technical intervention, so even administrative staff can run the whole system with ease.
